This elegant piece of translucent Italian Alabaster
is one of my favorite stones to carve. It often hides mysterious patterns, and clear cells that become visible when illuminated for display. The inspiration for this piece is from my observations of the orchids I grow in my studio. This piece is mounted to its base with a steel pin allowing you the ability to gently rotate and change viewing directions for your viewing pleasure.
