The color and texture of this piece invokes the earth’s geothermal activity. There is a feeling of flowing minerals that are frozen in time. The unique patterns on the rock are created by mineral deposits, water, and pressure. The rough white accents are layers of calcite seeping through the orange travertine matrix. This piece is recessed into the marble base, with two keeper pins.
